Toronto Rush to Split 2024 Home Games at Historic Lamport & Varsity Stadiums

TORONTO, Ontario (April 23, 2024) - The Toronto Rush of the Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA) will begin their 2024 home game schedule at Allan A. Lamport Stadium in the Liberty Village neighborhood of Toronto. The Rush will play their first three home games at the venue while the team’s existing facility, Varsity Stadium at the University of Toronto, undergoes field surface renovations. “We are very fortunate to call Lamport Stadium our ‘home away from home’ to start the season,” said team owner and general manager Jim Lloyd. “Our fans will experience all gameday activities and fun they have come to expect at Rush games, including field level beer gardens, a kid zone, inflatables, face painters, balloon artists and more.”

Lamport Stadium is the current practice facility of the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League, and holds approximately 10,000 spectators. Varsity Stadium has been the home of the Rush for 11 seasons and is one of the premiere live sports venues in Ontario. The venue is home to the University of Toronto athletic teams and was a host site of the 1976 Summer Olympics soccer tournament.

The Rush home opener is scheduled for Saturday, May 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Lamport Stadium versus their national rival Montreal Royal. More information and tickets are available here.

The Toronto Rush joined the East Division of the Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA) in 2013, becoming the first Canadian AUDL team to join the league.
