Today, the Chicago Union announced the signing of Von Alanguilan and Tim Schoch to their 2021 roster. Alanguilan and Schoch will be exceptional additions to an already strong foundation for the team.
Alanguilan is no stranger to the AUDL and will be a threat to all offensive players. He played with the Wildfire from 2014 - 2017 and acquired 29 goals, 27 blocks, and averaged a 94.6% pass completion rate. Alanguilan brings a strong defensive mindset and highlight-reel blocks that will keep offenses nervous as they try to track his location on the field.
Schoch will be playing in the AUDL for the first time but comes as no stranger to winning programs. Schoch won a college championship with Carleton Ultimate Team (CUT) and won two world championships for both the Men’s and Mixed USA Ultimate U24 teams.
We are excited to welcome both Alanguilan and Schoch to the inaugural Chicago Union squad and believe they will make a large impact on the team and in the league. The Union is concluding final player evaluations and will be announcing the full 2021 roster in the weeks ahead. The AUDL regular season will begin in June and will conclude on August 21, with postseason playoffs to follow and a championship weekend on September 10 and 11.
The official Chicago Union game schedule for the 2021 season has not been finalized yet. Union Season Tickets can be purchased through the team’s website, and individual game tickets will be added once the home game schedule is announced in late March.
