Born in College Station, Mick moved to Austin for school to attend St. Edward's University where he was a nationally ranked singles and doubles tennis player and played low level pro tennis after graduating. Mick was first introduced to pickup ultimate in college and quickly fell in love. After beginning to play seriously in 2015, Mick made the Sol in 2017 and has grown every year, leading the league in blocks before getting injured in 2019. Mick returns as a captain in 2020, ready to pick up where he left off.
