Canada Cup comes to Toronto with Ottawa, Montreal doubleheader

August 25, 2021

The Toronto Rush are back at Varsity Stadium this weekend, August 28-29 for a home double header. On Saturday the Rush will take on the Ottawa Outlaws at 6pm, and on Sunday they host the Montreal Royal at 2pm.

The Rush have started their Canada Cup season with just one win in five games—their 1-4 record ranks last among the three teams in the series. Still, they are in control of their own destiny; in order to make the Canada Cup finals, they’ll have to win their remaining three games.

While they’ve won just one game this summer, their four losses have all come by three goals or fewer. Their one win came in the only home game they’ve played thus far that has allowed fans in the stands. With fans allowed at Varsity at both games this weekend, the Rush will look to get back on track in their final two home games of the season.

Tickets for this game are available at the official team store.
