The Dallas Roughnecks are back at John Paul II High School this Saturday, July 3 at 7:30 PM/CT. They’ll take on the Seattle Cascades in the two teams’ first regular season meeting in league history.
As part of the AUDL’s divisional realignment this past offseason, the Roughnecks were moved from the South to the West Division, now getting to face new competition from California and Seattle. The Cascades and Roughnecks have met only once previously; Dallas took down Seattle in the 2016 Championship Game to complete their perfect undefeated season and bring home the AUDL title.
The Roughnecks have made Championship Weekend (the AUDL's final-four style competition) each of their first four seasons in the league dating back to 2016, but their streak may be threatened this year as they currently sit at 2-2, tied with three other teams—including the Cascades—for second place in the West Division. This past weekend they lost to the reigning West Division champion San Diego Growlers on the road after defeating the Los Angeles Aviators the night before. They’ll look to rebound this week against a Cascades team taking their first significant road trip of the season.
Tickets are available on the official team store.
