The Madison Radicals have rescheduled their home opener due to the threat of severe weather throughout the upcoming weekend. The original game versus the Minnesota Wind Chill was set for 6:00 PM/CT on this Saturday, April 14 at Breese Stevens Field. The game has now been moved to Tuesday, July 3 at 7:00 PM/CT. The official 2018 Radicals home opener will now be Saturday, April 28 at 7:00 PM/CT against the Pittsburgh Thunderbirds.
"The safety of our players and fans is very important to us," said Radicals Coach and General Manager Tim DeByl. "We’ve never moved a game before in our six seasons as a franchise. This is a huge letdown. But the forecast for the weather this weekend has been increasingly bad, including an ice storm coming through right around our scheduled game time."
The Radicals started their 2018 season with a win on the road this past weekend against the Indianapolis AlleyCats by a score of 20-13. Madison has its next game against the Detroit Mechanix on April 21 in Detroit.
All tickets to the originally schedule home opener game for this Saturday will be honored on July 3. If you would prefer a refund for your Radicals tickets, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
