Madison hosts Indianapolis with the playoff race heating up

July 14, 2021

The Madison Radicals are back at Breese Stevens Field for their penultimate home game of the season this Saturday, July 17 at 6:00pm. They’ll take on the Indianapolis AlleyCats, as they look to build on a three-game home win streak.

A week after losing to the Chicago Union in their first meeting of the season, the Radicals pulled off the upset on Saturday as they put an end to Chicago’s undefeated season in front of the Madison home crowd. Now at 5-3, the Radicals find themselves in third place in the Central Division and very much in the playoff race. They control their destiny—if they win out, they’re in the playoffs.

The Radicals will play their third game of the season against Indianapolis this Saturday; Madison won each of their first two meetings by exactly four goals. Radicals captain Kevin Pettit-Scantling has six blocks against the AlleyCats this year and will look to retake the league lead in blocks this week after a zero-block game this past weekend. On the offensive side, the Radicals’ best offensive performance of the season came in Indy two weeks ago; they’ll look to repeat the performance at home.

Tickets for this game are available at the official team store.
