Madison faces Chicago for the second straight weekend

July 7, 2021

The Madison Radicals are back at Breese Stevens Field this Saturday, July 10 at 6:00pm. They’ll take on the undefeated Chicago Union for the first time at home.
The Radicals were defeated by the Union in Chicago this past weekend in their first meeting of the season, keeping the game close for all four quarters but ultimately falling 18-15. For Chicago—a team that sits at 5-0 in first place in the Central Division—it was their narrowest win of the season. The Radicals will look to strike back in front of one of the best home crowds in ultimate; the team is averaging nearly 1,000 fans per game this season.
Through the first five weeks of the season, Radicals captain Kevin Pettit-Scantling has led the team to a 4-3 record—he currently leads the league in blocks with 16, and ranks tied for fourth in goals with a career-high 19. As a team, the Radicals defense has been the second most efficient in the league, an elite ranking that is hardly new for the perennial defensive juggernauts; Madison has finished as a top-3 defense every season since 2014.

Tickets for the game are available on the official team store.
