The Philadelphia Phoenix of the American Ultimate Disc League are seeking a new head coach for the 2022 season.
Overview: Founded in 2012, the Philadelphia Phoenix are Philadelphia’s sole professional ultimate team and a member of the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL). The AUDL is the premier professional ultimate league in North America, with 22 teams across the United States and Canada. The Philadelphia Phoenix strive to advance the sport of ultimate while promoting diversity and creating opportunities for individuals underrepresented in the sports industry.
Head Coach Position: As a leader of a professional sports team, the Philadelphia Phoenix Head Coach is primarily responsible for developing and implementing the skills, systems, and strategies necessary for the team to achieve its goals and advance the organization’s mission.The Head Coach serves in a managerial role, working closely with players, captains, team administration, and other coaching/operational staff to oversee and execute all competitive aspects of the Phoenix’s AUDL season, including tryouts, practices, games, and other team events.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Head Coach is expected to:

Understand and operate according to the Phoenix’s mission, vision, and goals

Create and implement operational systems, and manage coaching staff, players and personnel within those systems

Establish and manage the team roster

Develop, teach and implement ultimate strategies for on-field success.

Plan and execute competitive team events (tryouts, practices, games, etc.)

Travel to home and away games

Participate in interviews, social media videos, other forms of team media
Compensation includes travel and accommodations for competitive team events, annual coaching stipend, and other team perks.
