Philadelphia at home against New York on Friday

August 11, 2021

The Philadelphia Phoenix are back at the South Philadelphia Super Site this Friday, August 13 at 7:00pm. They’ll take on the New York Empire for the first time at home this season.

The Phoenix were originally scheduled to play the Empire in Week 2, however the game was postponed due to venue complications. The defending AUDL champions currently have just two losses on the year, and while Philly is no longer in playoff contention, they could play spoiler to the team that completed just the third perfect season in AUDL history in 2019.

With 41 goals on the year, fourth-year Phoenix vet Greg Martin needs just five goals to break the Phoenix single-season goals record. He’s scored five-plus goals on four separate occasions this season, though he’ll have his work cut out for him against an Empire defense allowing the third-fewest points per game this season.

Tickets for this game are available at the official team store.
