Jace Bruner was born in San Anselmo, California. He studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. There he joined the club ultimate team, and in 2019 he helped propel them to their first nationals appearance in 7 years. Bruner began his AUDL career with the San Jose (now Oakland) Spiders in 2019 as a mid-season signing and played with them through the 2021 season. After graduating, Bruner moved to Chicago bringing his talents to the Union and hoping to aid them in their pursuit of a championship.
