In a landmark deal with Bitpay, the world’s largest provider of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payment services, the AUDL is formally announcing that starting today it will rebrand into the Hodler Owned Disc League, or HODL. The four HODL divisions will now be called BTC (formerly West), BCH (formerly East), ETH (formerly Central) and DOGE (formerly Atlantic). HODL will be the first premier professional sports league to exclusively accept crypto payments for all ticketing and merchandising purchases.
