Atlanta at home Saturday to face Pittsburgh for first time

July 28, 2021

The Atlanta Hustle are back at St. Pius X High School this Saturday, July 31 at 7:00pm to take on the Pittsburgh Thunderbirds for the first time in franchise history.
Prior to this season, the Hustle and Thunderbirds had never played in the same division—this past offseason the Thunderbirds moved to the Atlantic Division after five seasons in the Central Division (formerly known as the Midwest). The teams currently find themselves at opposite ends of the Atlantic standings; the Hustle sit in first place with a 7-1 record, while the Thunderbirds are 1-5, still with six games to play this season.
The Hustle are coming off their second consecutive statement win, having knocked off the number one power ranked team each of the last two weeks. This past weekend they hosted the defending champion New York Empire and edged out a 22-21 win in their best offensive effort of the season. If there was any doubt before, the Hustle are legitimate championship contenders, and could enter the postseason as the favorites to win their first AUDL title. They’ve now taken down each of the top teams in the league’s most competitive division.

Tickets for this game are available at the official team store.
