Raleigh look to keep soaring as Pittsburgh visits Friday night

July 28, 2021

Heading into Week 9 on a five-game win streak, the Raleigh Flyers are back at Durham County Stadium this Friday, July 30 at 7pm ET. They’ll take on the Pittsburgh Thunderbirds for the second time this season, first at home.

The Flyers have now won each of their last four games by double digits, dominating opponents weekly following their 0-2 start to the season. They’re averaging over two goals per game more (25.6) than the next closest team and boast the league’s most efficient offense. With both of their early season losses coming by just one goal, the Flyers’ point differential of +50 is best in the league by a significant margin.

The first meeting of the season between Raleigh and Pittsburgh resulted in a 27-16 Flyers victory. Leading the team in goals this year is rookie Anders Juengst, who added four more to his season total in his last game in Pittsburgh. Ultiworld’s 2020 D1 Offensive Player of the Year, the UNC product has scored 26 goals this season, good for fifth most in the league. He’ll look to push for the top spot in the league with five regular season games remaining.

Tickets for this game are available at the official team store.
