The Flyers are seeking a highly motivated, energetic and talented individual to become Sunny the Flying Pig. Sunny will welcome the crowd and interact with them before and during six home games at Durham County Memorial Stadium end of April through July. We are in the process of developing a new mascot, which will be ready sometime mid-season. You would be one of two performers, so not necessarily needed for every game. The ideal candidate will add entertainment to the game presentation experience (develop, create and execute new performance skits).

Requirements:

• Outgoing, creative and humorous personality
• Athletically and physically fit
• Previous experience as a mascot preferred (no formal training provided)
• Good interpersonal skills (especially with children)
• Good with spontaneous crowd-interaction
• Ability to dance (professional dance training a plus)
• Acting experience and/or performer training a plus
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Strong non-verbal communication skills
• Ability to work outside in various temperatures and weather (it can get HOT for some of our late season games)
