The New York Empire will host a home playoff game this Saturday, September 4 at 7:00pm at Joseph F. Fosina Field. They’ll take on the Atlanta Hustle for the second time this year with their season on the line.
 
The winner of Saturday’s game will advance to Championship Weekend 10, the AUDL’s final four-style competition featuring two semifinal games and the championship game. This year’s Championship Weekend will be held at Audi Field in Washington, DC on September 10-11. New York has been to Championship Weekend each of the last three seasons, including winning it all in 2019 to cap the third undefeated season in AUDL history.
 
The first and only regular season meeting between the Empire and Hustle resulted in a 22-21 Hustle victory back in Week 8, after New York’s final throw to the end zone was batted away as time expired. Since then, the Empire are 6-0 and will look to keep their momentum going after taking down Boston this past weekend in another down-to-the-wire battle. They’ve lost just two games in their last 27, dating back to the start of 2019.
