AUDL MVP Rowan Signs with Breeze

Today the DC Breeze announced the re-signing of 2018 AUDL Most Valuable Player Matthew "Rowan" McDonnell. McDonnell joined the elite company of Jonathan Helton (2x), Beau Kittredge (2x), Dylan Tunnell and Jonathan Nethercutt as the fifth different player to be named MVP, and he is the first player from the East division to win the award.

McDonnell finished the 2018 regular season with 47 assists, 38 goals, and 11 blocks as he led the Breeze to their third straight playoff appearance. He completed a career-high 95.9 percent of his throws, and he scored on 29.7 percent of his total points played, the fourth-highest scoring rate in the league. 

DC has also announced via social media a slew of signings and re-signings that include Joe Richards, Xavier Maxstadt, Zach Norrbom, and the newly acquired Cole Sullivan, who led the AUDL in assists in 2016 with 82 for the Tampa Bay Cannons
