Los Angeles plays final home game of 2021 against San Jose

August 19, 2021

The Los Angeles Aviators will play their final home game of the season this Saturday, August 21 against the San Jose Spiders. Opening pull is at 6:00pm at LA Southwest College.

The Aviators suffered their seventh loss of the season this past weekend, falling to the San Diego Growlers for the second consecutive week. They’ll finish 2021 with a losing record for the first time since their inaugural 2015 season. This year also ends an Aviators streak of four consecutive playoff appearances.

While they’ll look ahead to the 2022 season after this week, the Aviators have plenty of pieces in place to continue developing into a West Division contender. A trio of 20-year-olds—Danny Landesman (son of head coach Jeff Landesman), Calvin Brown, and Kenrick "KJ" Koo—make up a young core of athletes that have shined for LA this season. Landesman ranks second on the team in goals with 26, while Brown is tied for the team lead in assists with 22. Koo ranks top five on the team in goals, blocks, throwing yards, and plus/minus.

Tickets for this game are available at the official team store.
