Indianapolis to face Minnesota in final home matchup of the season

August 11, 2021

The Indianapolis AlleyCats will play their final game of the season this Sunday, August 15 at 3:00pm at Grand Park. They’ll take on the Minnesota Wind Chill, as they look to finish the season with momentum heading into the offseason.

After winning the Central Division in 2019, a series of offseason departures left the AlleyCats searching for a new identity in 2021. While their record may not reflect it, the new-look ‘Cats battled nearly every week this season, consistently putting up a fight against the division’s toughest opponents. Two one-goal losses to Madison and Minnesota could’ve changed the trajectory of the division had they gone the other way; Indy will be seeking revenge on Minnesota after the Wind Chill’s 17-16 win two weeks ago.

The lone AUDL team that has an indoor home venue, the AlleyCats have had little trouble putting up points at home this season, averaging 23.6 points per game in five games. The fast-paced environment has several AlleyCats positioned among the league yardage leaders, with local players Levi Jacobs and Travis Carpenter ranking top 10 in the league in total yards. Alongside first year AlleyCat Xavier Payne, Carpenter is one of eight players to have eclipsed 3,000 throwing yards this season.

Tickets for this game are available at the official team store.
