Delrico Johnson Signs With DC Breeze

January 27, 2017

Today the DC Breeze announced the signing of multipurpose playmaker Delrico Johnson for the 2017 season.

“I’m just excited that I can be a part building the DC ultimate scene and hope that my play can be an inspiration to the younger generation,” Johnson said in the team's official news release. “It’ll be fun to get monster hucks from Markham [Shofner], and I’m hoping Alan [Kolick] will help with my lefty game, even though I can teach him a couple things about a lefty scoober. I think we’ll see an interesting and hungry Breeze team in 2017.”

Johnson is the 11th player to join the Breeze roster this offseason, but the first player who was not a member of the 2016 team.

Originally known for his outstanding defensive play, Delrico Johnson earned 2016 Offensive Player of the Year honors in the now-defunct MLU.
